About
I am a Computing (Networks) Graduate - 1st Class BSc (Hons) living and working in
London, UK. My CV reflects a very technical education and work experience, yet I
originally wanted to be a cartoonist! Over the years I changed my career prospects
from professional artist, story board artist, animator and architect to become a
Software engineer / Web Applications developer.
I realised that I didn't need to persue a creative degree as that
already came to me naturally. I decided to aim towards understanding the technical
aspects of the Internet and all of its media so I could publish my creative productions
to a professional standard.
I now work as a Web Applications Developer in Leeds for one of the largest Law Groups
in the UK developing various internal and external products.
Specialist areas
I specialise in Microsoft .Net software technologies including VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net,
T-SQL, Framework versions 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0. I've created many database
driven content websites for several clients, focussing heavily on user generated
content and social network site integration.
I also have a lot of knowledge in online marketing, SEO, Google AdSense and various
affiliate websites. After years of tweaking different affiliate campaigns and AdSense
trials, I have managed to build a small steady income from personal websites. This
has become extremely useful for our customers in helping them also generate a second
revenue source from their website.
Hobbies and Interests
I like to keep fit; mountain and road biking, swimming and tennis. I'm addicted
to Starcraft 2 for the PC and I love to travel around the world and see different
music festivals abroad.
